Smokey eyes have been done with almost every hue and with every single technique. Smudge the eyeliner, smudge the eyeshadow… Using a dark base, etc etc…
But let me tell you the quickest way to get a smokey eye. You only need two colors, and two brushes. Not fussy at all.
First, you need two brushes. A flat stiff shader brush and a stiff dome brush.
And then, you need two colors. One color of your choice and a matte black. I chose green for this little look, and I declare this the…
MODERN WARFARE 2 LOGO FOTD!!!
Ahahhaha, you all thought that I was over MW2, did ya? I named it thus, because the Modern Warfare 2 logo was all black and green, ahahaha ^.^
Anyways, here’s the look!
Firstly, take the flat stiff brush and pat the eyeshadow of your choice all over your lid, and bring it up a little to your crease.
Make sure that the color does not leave any gaps, of it’ll look as if there’s spots without any color on your eyelid. Trust me. It will not look pretty.
Next, take the matte black eyeshadow and pop it at the outer corner of your eye. Swirl it around that same place where you’ve dotted the color a little before dragging the color into the crease. Think BIG CIRCLES as you move inwards, and this produces the smokey effect.
For the purpose of the FOTD, I smudged my lower lashline with a metallic green color, just to make my eyes “pop” a little. And mostly because the “2” in the logo is of a yellow-green hue and this is the closest color that I have. ^.^
Now, you can finish the look with lashings of mascara and eyeliner, if that is your wish. Put on those false lashes and you’ll be all ready for a great night out! Follow with a nude-pink lip and some gloss, and baby, you’ll be the sexiest siren of all them sexy sirens! ^.^
Also, as you get more experienced with the smokey eye effect, you can start switching the colors up and adding more colors as well! The sky’s the limit!

ReplyDeleteProblem is, I don't do anything to me brows due to a Chinese feng shui thingy that says that I have to "hide" the mole above me left eye as much as I can, and it has a few eyebrow hairs doing the job. So I can't really shape it.... ahahaaha....
