As you all know, I’m not much of a lipgloss fan. I find them too sheer and too sticky, without any color to speak of. I think that this is one of the reasons why I don’t get MAC collections save for the lipsticks (I have too many eyeshadows, I don’t like lipglosses, and I don’t really dig blushes. Mascaras… I don’t really like high end mascaras because you have to throw them out every 3 months. ^.^).
But anyways, on a recent relative’s trip to China, I got me aunt to haul some products for me (Shiseido Perfect Liquid among others) and this baby.
Lookit this! It’s shiny! Really really shiny! And it’s pink! It’s a bright, shiny pink! And the sparkles! I don’t really mind sparkles, hehehehehe ^.^
As with all lipglosses, it comes with a doe-foot applicator, nothing special really. However, it is worth saying the the wand is awfully short, but that makes it portable and easy to pop into your handbag or makeup pouch. ^.^
Look at that color! It’s so deep and pigmented. It’s almost like a liquid lipstick! ^.^ Remember ladies, I said almost. Here, you can’t really see the rather chunky glitter particles, which is a good sign because not much of it appears on your lips.
This is me wearing only the lipgloss. ^.^ Awww man, it swatched so deep and pigmented too! I guess because my lips are already red, the color does not translate well to my lips. But still, it gives my lips a nice pink sheen with a little hint of shimmer. One application lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours, which is the same as lipstick wear for me, so it’s great. ^.^
You know, I once had a Maybelline Watershine lipgloss, and let’s be honest, I am not a fan of the slightly chemical smell of it. Mine was something like this one, save for the shimmery glitter.
I like this lipgloss, I really do. But I already have more than I need ^.^
Pros: Nice pigmentation, long-wearing, easily stored.
Cons: Chemical smell, can only be found out of South-East Asia (ie, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong).
Will I repurchase? Well, let’s see if I’m going to China again. ^.^
