Bish-Spired FOTD: Todou Heisuke, Hakuouki

Finally, the last FOTD from the Hakuouki series, and most probably the last Bish-Spired FOTD for the time being (I’ll post more if I can find new ones, don’t worry).

At the age of 19, Heisuke is among the youngest of the Shinsen-Gumi (Saito is also of the same age), and because of his child-like antics and small size, he is often the “baby” of the group. ^.^

Besides that, Heisuke is a highly able warrior, and is courageous in whatever he does, never backing down from a fight. His other companions would call it impulsiveness and irrationality, but this is Heisuke, heh heh heh. He leads the Captain of the Shinsen-Gumi’s 8th Division.

Heisuke cares a lot for Chizuru, and often protects her from Harada’s and Okita’s teasing. To protect his friends, he stood his ground against the Oni who are naturally stronger than humans, almost losing his life in the end.

The boy is also capable of infiltration, able to keep an eye on others without arousing their suspicions.

All in all, he’s a good kid. ^.^ Very, very lovable indeed.

I based this FOTD on Heisuke’s clothes and the color of his hair. Thus, we have a highly yellow-based green, a deep bronze for his hair, and some purple for the sleeves and the sleeveless gi he wears.

The first thing you need to do if you don’t have the mustard-green color of Heisuke’s design is to mix a bright green eyeshadow and a yellow-orange gold. Place the green all over the lid and then layer the yellow-orange gold over the green. What you’ll get is the exact same color of you get from the pictures above. ^.^

Now, for the purple. Take the brightest, shiniest purple you have, and blend it at the outer corner of the eye. Do not go into the crease. This is because Heisuke has so many colors going on, we can’t let purple be the star of the show. ^.^Also, when you blend the color, make sure that there’s some purple left on your brush.

Then, take a dark taupe color. and blend it into the crease along with the remaining purple on the brush. This is to darken the color in the crease without changing the color too much. ^.^

After that, take the bronze color and sweep it into the lower lashline, blending it up towards the outer corner to tie the whole look together.

Line the upper and lower waterlines, skipping the upper lashline because we want the color to show, and not a dramatic line. ^.^

Now, stick on falsies and put on mascara if you wish. Since Heisuke is so young compared to the other dudes, I layered two pairs of falsies for that bushy-eyed look. Apply mascara to blend all the lashes together.

We now move on to the rest of the face. ^.^

Heisuke III Face

Since the eyes are so dramatic, I went light for the face and lips. Contour the face with any bronzer that you like, and highlight the tops of your cheeks.

Take a soft, glossy pink for the lips, and you’re done! I hope you liked this post!
