Ah, to vacation in the French Riviera (encompassing Monaco, Cannes, Nice, Saint Tropez, etc.) is a life-long dream for everyone. Sadly, as a penniless Uni student, this dream is far from being achievable for me. Heh heh heh. Unless my parents strike the lottery, or I marry a rich husband, or work myself to death in the future, I guess I won’t be going there at all any time soon! (However, the third option is not at all impossible!)
Well, with the new Dior Addict Extremes being introduced earlier this year, owning a piece of Riviera for yourself is not so hard anymore, er… relatively.
Miaw Miaw can actually vouch for you how much I raved over these lippies even before they launched! I got more and more rabid when they came to our shores, and well, even more when I started to read all the local reviews.
There were many colors that were featured, and Riviera stood out to me the most, why? Because it was orange! Well, more accurately, it is a reddish coral. This color was one that I did not have in my stash, and I wanted it just for that reason! So much so that I was saving up for it slowly and was almost going to buy it for my birthday present to myself.
(Insert backstory)
But one day… two lovely angels came to Uni and gave me a little package in a little Dior bag…
IT EVEN CAME WITH A DIOR CHARM!
This, my lovelies, was a birthday present from my darlings Miaw Miaw and Stephie Y, with a little help of Steph/Yukaeshi too! ^.^ I love you darlings!
(Sorry about bitching/talking/ranting/craving about stuff that I want to buy, but hardly buy them! These things are investments to me in a way, heh heh, I require a lot of time to mull them over before buying!)
(Backstory ends)
Look at this color! It looks coral in this picture, because the flash makes it a tad cooler.
Here is a swatch on the skin to show you how the color actually looks like. I’m NC 30 for reference. The color does look a little bit sheer, but it shines where it is applied layered on.
Here it is, worn in 3 layers with my orange dress to bring out the orange-ness of the color. It works best with minimal makeup to make the lips pop! Here’s a little close-up:
The finish is glossy, and is moisturizing on the lips, much like it’s sister, the Dior Addict Iconic. It is very, very comfortable to wear, but does not last long due to its texture. I would say that it lasts maximum 4 hours without food and drink, and goes completely off if you do eat or drink! It is a trade-off, really, between long wear and settling into all sorts of crevices on the lips and feeling like nothing at all on your lips!
Yes, this is a pricy lippie too. But given the polished look and the fact that it is a color that most people can carry off and not have the lipstick wear you instead, it is a good investment!
Once again, I thank the lovely angels who gifted this to me, Miaw Miaw and Stephie Y!
(Pssst: I did not review this for so long because I didn’t have the heart to use this at all! It was the thought that stayed my hand and I shall treasure this lippie until the very last swipe of color!)

Pros: Moisturizing, sheer color that can be layered
Cons: Does not last very long.
